RM Bridge Advanced Wizard Help

General Page SniP

General page provides information regarding the chosen design code, different types of alignment input, and computation models.

SettingDescription
Design Code Shows the selected design code that was chosen in Project Settings/General Options.
Wind area Characteristic value of wind pressure  available in Table 11.1 from SP 20.13330 - depending on wind areas.
Terrain profile type Area of wind loads according to Table 11.2 in SP 20.13330
Soil profile type Ground type for type of response spectra graphic.
Seismic Zone Seismic area as defined in the National Annexes.
Relative Humidity Annual average ambient Relative Humidity in percent for Creep/Shrinkage.
Average Temperature Average temperature used only for Creep/Shrinkage calculation.
Alignment Type Allows choosing from four types of alignment definition:
  • Straight - a straight axis with a length that is represented by distance between first and last span.
  • Wizard axis - the alignment may be defined or customized segment by segment within "Alignment" and "Profile" pages.
  • Modeler axis - the alignment may be defined using a reference to an axis already defined in Modeler.
  • LandXML axis - the alignment may be defined using a reference to an already existing LandXML axis wizard object.
Alignment Reference
  • Horizontal offset: Define horizontal distance between roadway axis and superstructure axis.
  • Vertical offset: Define vertical distance between roadway axis and superstructure axis.
  • Bridge start station: Define longitudinal offset on the alignment for the center line from first pier (abutment) without excess length.
Computation model
  • Beam model
  • Grid model
